ABOUT KAREN

Born and raised in Alaska, I've spent thirty years working as a librarian. While I love matching people to their new favorite reads, I resisted the lure to write my own books until participating in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in 2015. There was no turning back after that.

I write contemporary romance as Karen Kiely, and paranormal romance as K. Kiely. While I cut my fiction-writing teeth on contemporary romance, my critique group issued a challenge in 2021 that resulted in my first published book, Wish On a Winter Moon. What can I say? I like variety. I hope you do, too.

Living most of my life in the far north, it's only natural that most of my stories would be set there. But I also like to travel, so don't be surprised to see the Western US and Ireland show up in future stories.

When I'm not librarianing or writing, I'm either spending time with family and friends (virtually in CovidTimes), binge-watching with cats on my lap, or reading romance.
